I define soul as “the awareness that simultaneously recognizes our individuality and our unity and merges the two as its purpose.”
So soul is the simultaneous awareness of form and essence. Soul is the conscious witness of both uniqueness and unity and is felt as the energy of love. As my friend Asandra has expressed it, “The soul imbued with desire seeks its own awakening.”
If we imagine pure existence as white light, and physicality as a prism, when we take physical form our “unique soul print” is expressed as a series of color frequencies on a rainbow spectrum. Put another way, we are simultaneously unique and part of the whole. As separate differentiated individuals, we express a group of “frequencies” that are our unique vibration.
As such we are a divine fractal of all that is.
When I refer to fractals, I am talking about the geometric patterns that repeat themselves in nature at increasing levels of complexity. There seems to be growth when there is a fractal ... the veiny patterns in leaves are repeated in the branches of trees, so that the entire forest is a fractal of one leaf. And yet, although the form may increase in complexity, it is still born of the same Oneness. Leaf or forest, molehill or mountain, all come from the same Source. It’s almost as if each relationship contributes to the new form. When we become aware of a relationship through unconditioned love, we become aware of the seeming other as an expression of the One, in a new form or variety. That is why I call love the Divine fractal. Through love’s expression, beyond the comprehension of the thinking mind, the Divine continues to creatively express its oneness.
So why is this important?
What we call the soul is our gateway, our connection, our reminder of Universal Unconditioned Love. We experience the soul in daily life when we access this felt sense of uniqueness and unity. As a soul we allow the light of this love to shine on whatever human situation we seek to heal, transform, or transcend.
The soul then is the mediator between subject and object, the context that is ever-present, regardless of the content. The Holoenergetic Forgiveness Process calls forth the soul as the coherent space of freedom and unconditioned self-acceptance. As we learn to use the Holoenergetic Forgiveness Process whenever we become aware of a shadow blocking the light in life, we begin living in and from our soul more frequently. From this higher perspective, we find ourselves less prone to upset. And, without the distortions of distress, the calling of our soul is more clearly heard.
